A Retail Sign

Have you ever tried to listen to what the world is telling you?  I often wish God would tap me on the shoulder and tell me what to do - whether it be about relationships, career paths, or which event to attend - if I had a concrete voice I could trust telling me what to do, it would be awesome.

Or limiting.
Our ability to make our own choices, make our own mistakes, make our own awesomeness is what gives life excitement.

And what happens when you hear this voice, when the world appears to align to tell you something, yet you ignore it?  How we interpret these guidance whispers by a being beyond our comprehension determines how we live our lives.  Or, in my recent case, whether to buy the Ralph Lauren riding boots I've been drooling over (http://piperlime.gap.com/browse/product.do?userSearchText=janessa&pid=420079002).  I was recently gifted the exact amount of money ("exact" being a loose term) I needed to buy them, - MY SIGN - yet I did not run to my online shopping bag and pull the trigger.  Call it good personal financing sense or ignorance at hesitating to listen to a sign, but it is a perfect example of how some may choose to ignore shoulder taps.

THIS sign fills me with joy:

Live Colorfully - Kate Spade Pillow

Seriously?  Thank you for the email, Kate Spade, because  I was just writing about how I needed a medium to make my life more colorful yesterday!  If all questions had such a quick response time I would have so much more clarity.  I'm going to make an effort to daily sync in with the world, with God, with myself and listen to what I should be doing and where I should be going.
